Central Tattoo Studio is a fine art forward, custom tattoo studio in Philadelphia, PA. Our first floor gallery space features rotating exhibitions from local and emerging artists whose work bridges the gap between fine art and tattoo work. Our second floor tattoo studio features tattoo artists with a strong understanding of the foundations of fine art; color, form, line, space and composition. Our tattoo artists specialize in a variety of contemporary tattoo styles, including watercolor tattoos, abstract/graphic tattoos, dot work tattoos and black and grey realism tattoos. Central Tattoo Studio is a space that is equal parts tattoo studio and fine art gallery. Inspired by the light and openness of the space, our artists explore the essence of line, color and composition. Located just north of the Piazza and west of the Girard El stop, the vibrancy of the city makes itself at home at Central Tattoo Studio. We redefine the perception of tattoos by bringing it to the realm of the visual arts. Art Machine Productions was started by owner and artist Tim Pangburn as a private studio in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia. In 2011, the studio was moved to it’s current location, a 2700+ sq.ft. converted warehouse built in 1865, located on the now bustling Frankford Avenue Arts Corridor. The premise behind Art Machine Productions is simple: to provide an environment for the artist to thrive and grow both their skills and client base, all while providing outstanding customer service to our patrons. From the start, we’ve focused heavily on providing an unmatched experience by giving clients a safe, relaxed atmosphere with friendly, skilled tattoo artists. We work to provide all styles of tattooing, whether it’s traditional, neotraditional, new school, black and grey, realism, blackwork, or portraits, you name it and we do it. Not only do we want to provide these services to our clients, but we also believe that artists working with artists of different styles have a great deal to contribute to each other in terms of learning, growth, and developing a personal style. In the 11 years since its inception, Art Machine has been home to dozens of artists who established firm clientele and honed their craft behind our doors. They’ve gone on to own studios, star in tv shows, run nonprofits, and other successful endeavors. We consider it both an honor and our duty to support their growth while they are with Art Machine, and their success is a testament to the drive and ethic we represent. Art Machine is also big on charity. Over the years we’ve hosted events benefiting The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, The Trevor Project, the Lupus Loop, Toys for Tots, Pennsylvania SPCA, Philabundance, and Live Through This. We’ve assembled care packages for some of the homeless population in Philadelphia, and we’ve even held a fundraisers for friends who hit tough times. We are always looking for new charitable organizations to support and ways to give back to our community. We invite you to stop in any time to view the artwork in our gallery, check our our artist portfolios, or get a quick consultation or tattoo done by one of our available artists. You can also stop in for a high five, because we give some damn good high fives.
Once upon a time, there was a young girl who lived in Hawai'i who fell in love with a young man who lived in Philadelphia. After many voyages across the sea, they knew that their love was meant to be. The girl, not willing to give up her island home, and the man, too tied to Philadelphia to roam, they decided to create an island of their own. Philadelphia would be it's home. With a love for Hawaii, and a passion for the arts, they knew trying to bring "Aloha" to Philly would take alot of heart. So they worked and they worked to create a very special place where you could walk through the door to always see a smiling face. With clouds on the ceiling and a very sweet smell in the air, a place to open your mind and a dream of what you dare. So we welcome you in, to a place like no other, our oasis of Aloha, in the city who is supposed to show love their brother. Check out our artists' portfolios or our piercers' portfolios when you come into our shop, or contact us for more information.

Cresson Street Tattoo is a family-owned tattoo shop in the vibrant Manayunk section of Philadelphia. Originally founded by Howard Saunders in 1995, our award-winning artists continue to deliver some of the best tattoos in Philadelphia. We're located on the corner of Cresson Street at Gay Street, just one block from the shops, restaurants and galleries of Main Street Manayunk. If you'd like to discuss a design or schedule an appointment, feel free to contact us or drop by the shop to check out our artists' portfolios. In 1995, Howard Saunders, along with Eric Perfect, opened Kadillac Tattoo in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia, PA. For the next 18 years, through various staff members, one relocation (two doors down) remodeling and renaming, one thing remained consistant — the loudmouth, unforgettable, often obnoxious but always lovable character known to most as Cosmo. Other than his three children, Leor, Lola, and Gram, Cosmo's shop was the one consistent love of his life. He poured his heart into it for over 18 years. I know for a fact the sense of pride he had in being able to provide for his kids doing something he truly loved. On July 25 2013, Howie was in a motorcycle accident. For the next 3 1/2 weeks he laid in a hospital bed in a medically-induced coma. On August 18, 2013, at 3:45pm on that Sunday afternoon, my friend and brother passed away, leaving behind countless friends, family, and above all else, Leor, Lola, and Gram. My friend will not have the opportunity or the privilege of watching his kids grown up. And Leor, Lola, and Gram will not get to see their Dad smile his gold-tooth smile at them on birthdays, holidays, school functions, or in everyday life.
