His company used reusable green plastic boxes to deliver fruit and vegetables around the Bay Area. During this time, Ash moved a couple of times and found that using the same green boxes was an excellent solution for packing and transporting his belongings. After merging his company with another organic home delivery company in 2008, Ash embarked on yet another move within San Francisco and, because he no longer had access to the green boxes, he was forced to buy and use cardboard boxes. While taping and moving the cardboard boxes was no fun, what Ash dreaded the most was the daunting task of having to dispose of all that cardboard.
