    Peacock & Dahlia Interiors

I created these services to help homeowners and renters alike, to allow them to use the full extent of their home and elevate their space in ways they never thought imaginable. I provide the tools to create the home you love. Each service is specifically tailored to your unique needs, while still allowing for additional services where needed and applicable. Many of my projects have been successful using virtual design tools and management. With extensive knowledge in color, materials, and functional design we can collaborate and create your very own comfortable and inviting space.

A Natural Bohemian at heart, I love the simplicity of refined natural pieces. I love the balance of industrial with warming and calming additions like greenery and woven materials. Sustainability is of importance to me, and I strive to source items that speak to that.

When I'm not at my desk creating, I can often be found in the garage working on my next DIY project or creating with my kids and husband who are a daily inspiration and the "why" behind what I do. An avid baker, I am often making a new bread recipe, baking homemade cinnamon rolls, or desperately trying to drink the rest of my coffee while it's hot. I also enjoy working out and lifting heavy weights with loud music in my ears - it just works!

    GiGi

La Bella Vita founder Gina “GiGi” Joseph was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she experienced a vast array of tastes and styles including Southern Revival, European Chic, Antique, French Country and Art Deco. Having lived on all three coasts over the past 25 years, GiGi has honed these styles, as well as adding Urban, Modern Chic and BOHO to her style repertoire. She believes in the beauty of every detail of life from teacup and saucer to armoire and grand piano.

For GiGi, creating the perfect room is an intimate process. Before deciding on the first piece, she carefully considers how a space will be used, how to utilize the natural lighting and whom will be living in the space. Once she’s ready to design, she selects colors, textures and pieces as if the room were a living being.

After years of practice, GiGi has found that subtle flare with just the right accent pieces yields the most elegant results. On her travels, she has studied various techniques and designs that have helped her cultivate a modern yet classically unique sense of style.

GiGi loves the challenge such as incorporating columns, antique silver, marble and other timeless treasures into an urban or modern space for a truly eclectic and original look. GiGi values Family above all else and understands that a space can be both Beautiful and Functional. Every room she creates beckons you in with a hint of her warmth and Southern charm.

While still traveling to collect the most special pieces, she balances her time between her Virginia Beach and Venice, FL studios, while still making time to learn new techniques and exhibit at trade shows all around the world. Call or message today to get started with your beautiful space.

    Kept

As a New York native, I have always been surrounded by the world of fashion and design. Creating beautiful spaces with simplicity and efficiency in mind is something that has always been second nature to me. Likewise, my home has always been the touchstone for clarity and tranquility in my life.

In years past, Kept has operated as a “turn-key” design company, but I always found myself frustrated -- I was constantly encountering potential clients who just couldn’t afford my services. I found more and more that I wanted to make design possible for the people who needed it the most. I wanted to make it possible for the mother of two who juggles work, family, and her household. I wanted to make it possible for the family who just sent their last child off to college and finally have the time to do something for themselves. I wanted to make it possible for the recent graduate who just got her first real job and first apartment. EVERYONE, no matter their lifestyle, deserves a haven as their home. So, I needed to find a way to offer my interior design services at an affordable price. Everyone deserves a professionally designed home without any nonsense or egos involved. It’s simple - my belief is that professional interior design should not be a reserved as a luxury for a select few.

With online design, I have altered the design process slightly, but have been able to stay committed to offering high quality custom designs. Thankfully, technology allows me to get to know my clients just as I always have. As my client, I am able to see you, meet your family and take a tour of your home almost as if we are in person. Together, we will transform your existing space -- in the end, you will have the professionally designed room of your dreams. The traditional approach to interior design and the personal experience that it provides was never something I was willing to compromise. I am proud to say that with a little bit of innovation and the use of modern technology I am able to offer a service to people who would have never been able to afford it before.

You’re a prominent, busy professional or retiree who wants your home to not only look beautiful, but also function beautifully. You need a designer who respects the value of your time; someone who will efficiently guide you through the home improvements that will maximize your investment in—and enjoyment of—your home. I’m that designer.
I’m Michelle Nettles and I’ve been designing for over 20 years.

I’m different than any other designer I know, in my background, my creative process, and the way I do business. I entered college as a major in biology, but ultimately spent 16 years teaching high school physics and biology and got my M.Ed. before getting a bachelor’s of fine art degree in interior design. Where most designers are right brain heavy, I like to say my brain is firing on all cylinders! Great design requires a balance of analytical skills, precise math, and great communications with you, and all the people on your project, to get your project finished on budget and on time.

With a solid foundation in all things design, expect meticulous attention to detail, exceptional customer service, and a fun, positive design process. I know you’ll find me to be creative, detail oriented, and able to explain exactly why I make the design decisions I make. If I could sum up the essence of all comments from my clients, it would be that I listen and consider all the important things, promptly present a plan that meets client needs with grace and professionalism. But, don’t take my word for it! Head over to my testimonials to get a more in-depth sense of my process and personality.

When not in my studio or on site for design projects, you’re likely to find me in my yard tending to my hydrangeas and daylilies, cheering on my beloved Hokies, or serving in local community organizations like the Rotary Club of Norfolk and the Council of Garden Clubs of Virginia Beach.

Whether you’d like to update your primary home or create a secondary residence that reflects your style, I look forward to being a trusted guide on your design journey. Tell me about your project by visiting my contact page and let’s explore ideas for your project.

    Matt Keane Design

I believe the job of a designer is not just to make things look nice. Instead, one should strive to create a space that not only looks great, but also makes sense for the people that live in it. A well designed space will be functional, possess proper flow and organization, and most importantly, reflect the personalities of the people that occupy it.

I hold an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Interior Design and have been working as a designer since 2012. Additionally I have a Certificate in Green Design and am a Certified Occupied Staging Specialist. I am a member of the Tidewater Community College Interior Design Advisory Committee and a member of the Oceanview Business Association. In the spring of 2019 I joined the faculty of Tidewater Community College as an adjunct professor in their Interior Design program. Additionally, I have been a design mentor for the Tidewater Builders Association Dreaming of Design Contest and worked on hand renderings for Homearama.
