I’m a New York native and a Colorado lover who has lived in the Front Range since 1999. I originally moved to Denver to dance with the Colorado Ballet (a little bit artistic), eventually finished my schooling at the University of Denver with a Masters in Public Policy (a desire to help people), all while working in various degrees of sales and management (a passion for business). I settled down in Colorado Springs with my husband Dan and our daughters, Madison and Saige. Modern Interior Staging Company is the full expression of who I am, melding artistry, public-spiritedness, and business together into a full time occupation I enjoy.
If there is one thing I am doing in my free time, it is redesigning or decorating homes. My husband and I have invested in various properties over the years that I have staged to sell or staged as vacation rentals. Hey! I’m Alyssa Hill, and I’m the founder and designer here at Hill Interiors. I am a native of Colorado Springs, CO and I grew up dreaming about becoming an interior designer.
After my husband and I had two energetic little boys, I ended up spending a lot of time at home for a stint, and that led me to discover the importance of living in a home that functions well and is a joy to thrive in and invite others into. This grew my passion for transforming homes for others and I just loved the idea of tangibly impacting peoples’ everyday lives for the better.
I went back to school, graduated from the British Academy of Interior Design and the rest is history.
I love collaborating with local artisans and trade professionals in the design world to create beautiful and completely unique spaces. I also really enjoy traveling, hiking in the beautiful Colorado mountains, and I’m obsessed with great coffee, jazz music, and meeting wonderful human beings and learning their stories.
