Hi, I'm Christie, the owner of OPO Interiors, and I would love to tell you the story of how I got started!
I worked in the childcare industry for ten years while taking care of my father, who had Multiple Sclerosis. I loved working with the kiddos; every day was filled with creativeness. I also adored the time that I had with my dad. While his disability brought up many challenges, the solutions to those challenges taught me skills that unknowingly prepped me to be an entrepreneur. As his disease progressed, my brother and I moved my father's bed into the living room to accommodate a more manageable living situation. After the adjustment, I started to organize and clean other areas in the home while spending time with him. Little did I know how much this would change my future.
In the spring of 2016, my father passed away. It was an incredibly heartbreaking and overwhelming time in my life; he was one of my best friends.
My brother and I were left with the task of clearing out and selling my father's estate; in doing so, I realized how much the organizing that I had already processed was helping to ease this burden. That's when it all "clicked!" I had my purpose; I would help others who were going through hard times in their lives by assisting them through organizing.
The paperwork came in, making my LLC official precisely one year to date of my father's passing, a bittersweet day, to say the least. In April of 2017, I set out to make my father more proud than he could ever imagine by running my own business.
From there, the business morphed and grew.
After many years of designing and decorating for friends and family as a hobby, I decided to hone my eye for design and began my studies at New York Institute of Art and Design. I earned my certification with the Residential Interior Designer Qualification Council, became a member of the Designer Society of America and ventured to establish Anna Silk Interiors.
From living in a tiny Manhattan apartment, to an oddly shaped Baltimore townhouse, I know how to make the most out of a dysfunctional space.
My personal style can be described as classic with a twist. The core is typically traditional, but a pop of a bold color, pattern, texture or piece will always catch your eye.
I come from a long line of design and home furnishings. My great, great grandfather, John George Mohlhenrich, started as an apprentice at the Reliable Furniture Company. He worked his way up and in 1893 he bought the firm and renamed the establishment as The Mohlhenrich Furniture Company. The factory was located in the heart of downtown Baltimore, MD and had showrooms in New York, Chicago and Philadelphia. The Mohlhenrich Furniture Co. can be characterized and identified by solid, ornately carved wood dining furniture. While the furniture is no longer in production today, there are still many antiques circulating.

Associate designer, Kelly McGovern, holds a dual Business and Art bachelor’s degree from Towson University. After initially pursuing a career in the insurance industry, Kelly realized her true passion lay elsewhere. She had always been drawn to art and design, preferring art classes to sports as a child, and became fascinated with architecture and space planning as she watched her parents build their first house. Having built and furnished two homes of her own she excels at construction management and design implementation.
Kelly’s experience building custom homes, in addition to her incredible taste, is reflected in the beautiful work she has done for Millbrook Circle. She has worked for the firm since September 2017 and feels incredibly fortunate to be able to help others create their dream home just as she did.
