Martin Postic, Jr., graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in May 1980 and entered private practice in Moore, Oklahoma in October 1980. In January 1982, Marty incorporated his practice as Martin Postic, Jr., A Professional Corporation, continuing a general practice of law in Moore focusing on estate planning, real estate, and probate law. Due to the need for more office space, Marty broke ground on the Shadowlake Law Center in south Oklahoma City in September 1982.
After construction was completed, the current law office was officially opened on June 1, 1983. In order to make better use of the office space, major remodeling was performed in 1985, which resulted in a new reception area, more attorney/client privacy, and a larger work room to accommodate computer equipment and additional filing space. In April 1987, Julie E. Bates, Marty’s wife, joined the practice and the firm name was changed to Postic & Bates, A Professional Corporation. Marty and Julie’s son David Postic joined the practice in September 2016.
The law firm of Postic & Bates is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Our lawyers provide a broad range of legal services to individuals in the areas of estate planning, asset protection, adoptions, guardianships, real estate, probate, and general litigation. We believe the cornerstone of our success is the quality of services we provide to our clients at an affordable price. To do this, we abide by three core values:
Many people dread going to an attorney's office more than a doctor's office. At Postic & Bates, we do our best to make the legal aspects of planning your estate, dealing with the death of a loved one, buying a house, or adopting a child as comfortable and un-intimating as possible.
All of our clients are treated with integrity and respect for their needs and goals. In providing clients with this representation, we focus on making the legal process as open and transparent as possible by communicating with you and keeping you informed of the status of your case. Our billing and accounting practices are also made available to clients upon request.
It can often be difficult to anticipate what will happen in the future, particularly when crafting your estate plan. Because our goal is to help you achieve your legal objectives, we take great care to inform you about all of the legal options available so you can make an informed, thoughtful decision. Our attorneys are always available to answer any legal questions you may have.
At Postic & Bates, we work hard to make estate planning, adoptions, and other legal transactions as simple and painless as possible.

J. Michael Entz started our firm over 30 years ago. While growing up on a small farm and ranch near Hydro, Oklahoma, Michael learned the importance of protecting land and assets that had been earned through the hard work of multiple generations. When he opened the doors of his own law firm, his goal was to assist families and family-owned businesses with ensuring that their hard-earned property and assets were properly protected and passed down to the next generation as intended. That is why Entz Burton & Associates is an all-purpose estate planning law firm serving the families of Oklahoma with both an Oklahoma City and Weatherford office.
Our firm assists families with the protection of land and assets through careful and thoughtful consultations to understand the needs and desires of our clients. Once these are established, our firm will put together an estate plan involving Wills, Trusts, Business Entities, and the titling of property and assets to accomplish their goals. During this process, our attorneys are in constant communication with our clients to ensure they understand what we are doing and why we are doing it. This allows us to better achieve the objectives of our clients and to make any desired revisions.
Because of the all-purpose nature of our estate planning law firm, we also assist families in cases where their loved one never set up an estate plan prior to their death, they need assistance in resolving their deceased family member’s estate, or disagreements between families occur at a loved one’s death. Our attorneys realize how stressful a family member’s death can be and are well-equipped to assist you in any aspect of your loved one’s estate at their death.
With our attorneys’ decades of experience in all aspects of estate planning and with convenient office locations in both central and western Oklahoma, we are confident that our firm is the best solution for your legal needs. We offer a free initial consultation because we believe that, once you meet with one of our attorneys, you will choose our firm to represent you. Please contact our firm and give us the opportunity to assist you and your family with all your estate planning needs.

Losing a loved one is a difficult event in anyone's life, and dealing with their estate while you are still grieving can make the process even more emotional. We understand that this is a sensitive time for you and your family, but we can make probate proceedings less challenging by guiding you through the estate administration process.
If you have been chosen as the executor of a loved one's estate or appointed by the courts to serve as the personal representative after the loss of a friend or relative, we can assist you with the entire probate process from opening the estate to distributing the assets. Though we are known for probate services, we also assist with criminal defense.
If your loved one has already passed on, we can gently guide you through the process of estate administration during this difficult time. Gathering assets is the first step of estate administration and we can provide you with legal counsel in the best way to assess them and distribute them. Settling debts is another important aspect, and our firm can help you notify creditors of the loss and pay the debts.
Real estate matters can be a particularly difficult subject in estate planning, especially when property has multiple heirs. Executors are charged with the duty to maintain and protect the property in their care until it is passed on to the proper beneficiaries or is sold. Our firm can assist in these real estate matters and more, including counseling on the best way to sell real estate while the property is in the probate process.
Although it can be difficult to discuss, it is important to plan for your loved ones' future. If you have young children, a substantial amount of property, or are seriously ill, it is in your best interest to create an estate plan sooner rather than later. By creating a will, you can select a guardian for your children and distribute your property as you see fit.
We understand that the inheritance you leave to your loved ones is important, and we can assist you in the creation of the most tax-effective ways to leave your estate to future heirs. While it is true that you can write your own will, it is best to have a qualified attorney assist you with this process.
After you pass and your will is delivered to a judge, it is important that he or she finds the will valid and your wishes legally binding. We have intricate knowledge of both state and federal probate and estate planning laws and can help you pursue the outcome you seek.
