Customer Testimonials:
-If anyone is looking for an outstanding electrician, you do not need to look any farther. Gary at Sparks was fantastic. He was friendly, polite and extreme patient. My family is in the process of selling my deceased mother's home and Gary exceeded all our expectations on quality of service, punctuality, detail of work and cost. I have referred him to fellow colleagues and friends.
-Had an electric motor on an old furnace in a hunting lodge up north that quit functioning. After managing the removal of the motor I decided to call Sparks Electric. Since I already removed it from service Gary suggested that I bring it in and he would find the trouble. Well, I was very happy that I did. Gary took time out from his busy schedule and tested it and pointed out that the winding was crossed to ground. This motor was defective and I could have received a shock or been electrocuted . I would have called Sparks Electric to the furnace if it had not been 180 miles away. Gary is very friendly, thorough and reliable. Outstanding service! I will recommend his service in the area I live.

The Roman Electric Company began as a one-man operation in 1929, just a month before the devastating “Black Thursday” stock market crash. 23-year-old Roman Rose, who had just passed his Milwaukee contractor exam, set up shop in the two-story frame building where his father had operated a cigar factory. Forging ahead into business during the Great Depression, Rose was able to navigate the difficult economic climate through sheer determination and a strong work ethic.
In 1935, Rose married Catherine Lemanski who also became a partner in his ever-expanding business. In addition to contracting work, they began to sell electrical appliances, including a popular new product called the electric range. Through an innovative strategy to promote their business, they conducted electric range cooking classes, attracting huge crowds of curious spectators. It was this kind of forward thinking that kept the business afloat throughout the financially turbulent 1930’s.
Through the next few decades, which brought both World War II and a prosperous housing boom, Roman Electric continued to grow – as did the Rose family. Upon receiving electrical engineering degrees from Marquette University, sons Gerv (in 1958) and Greg (in 1961) both joined the company. After the death of Roman in 1963, the sons guided the company into impressive growth in the 60’s. Through diversification, acquisition and ingenuity, the Roman Electric Company continued to grow.
A third generation of Roses joined the company in the early 90’s, continuing the tradition of family leadership. As it marches into its 9th decade in the field of electrical contracting, Roman Electric remains a Wisconsin institution. Its strong corporate culture, with its emphasis on community and education, has helped to strengthen its team of project managers, electrical engineers, and technicians. Whether it’s residential or commercial, you can always count on its team of professionals to help you with all of your electrical needs.

Milwaukee Handyman was founded by JD Steinhafel, a Southeastern Wisconsin business owner for over 20 years and a lifelong Milwaukee resident. JD founded Milwaukee Handyman because of a serious lack in the Milwaukee area of a handyman service providing expert work, showing up on time, and being transparent about charges.

Throughout history, Terminal-Andrae has been an influential leader, progressing Milwaukee’s electrical systems into the modern age. Our corporate structure has developed over time, adapting and changing to provide Milwaukee and surrounding areas with better electrical solutions.
Terminal-Andrae was founded by Julius Andrae in 1860. Julius Andrae, a German immigrant, started his new life in Wisconsin by running his own ironworking, blacksmith and locksmith shop. He eventually started a new business -Andrae Electric - which grew quickly. Soon the firm was a well-known electrical and automotive supplier. In 1989, Andrae Electric merged with Terminal Electric, and adapted a new name – Terminal-Andrae.
Terminal-Andrae has continued to expand. In early 2007 we acquired McIver Electric and in 2011 we were proud to add Magaw Electric to our team.
Terminal-Andrae has always been an industry leader in the latest electrical technology. In 1897, it was Andrae Electric who introduced the first incandescent light to Milwaukee, forever changing the city. In 1927, we donated many acres of shoreline property on Lake Michigan to the state of Wisconsin. Terminal-Andrae is also committed to ongoing developmental work with the National Fire Prevention Association.
Throughout our company history, we have consistently placed a strong emphasis on a commitment to quality – in design and implementation of our services, for the betterment of our clients, the electrical contracting industry, the city of Milwaukee and the state of Wisconsin. We continue to “make history” each and every day.
Hurt Electric’s key strength lies in it’s principles’ 80 plus years of experience in the electrical field, which are inclusive of an accumulated exposure to and mastery of electrical construction supervision and electrical construction project management.
Hurt Electric, Inc. began operations in 1996 by Henry Hurt. Hurt Electric has always operated as a union contractor providing Electrical service and repairs to its customers in Southeastern Wisconsin. Henry Hurt purchased Ardell Electric and merged Ardell Electric into Hurt Electric on May 1, 2006. Hurt Electric moved its office to the Menomonee Falls location from Northwest Milwaukee shortly thereafter.
Ardell Electric had been in operation since 1966, under the ownership of Richard Schmidt, and on April 1, 1998 was acquired by Ron Rechlicz and Tim Jahn. Ardell continued to operate out of its long-time location in West Allis, Wisconsin, until early summer of 2000, when offices were moved to bigger and better accommodations in Menomonee Falls, WI. Ron Rechlicz retired in 2016. Tim Jahn retired in 2020.
Hurt Electric has completed extensive and diversified list of projects such as Miller Park, Hospitals, Educational Institutions, Manufacturing Plants, Telecommunication Utility Facilities, etc. The Hurt Electric team has experience in Construction Supervision and Project Management.
