Local owners Bill Wolfe and Andrew Held bring a rich business background, love for Wag N' Wash and love for their Queen Anne neighborhood to their store. As long time customers of Wag N' Wash in Arizona, they moved to Queen Anne almost four years ago and decided it was a perfect spot to open their own Wag N' Wash Natural Pet Food & Grooming.
Both were raised in pet households. Over the years Bill had cats, birds, and dogs and spent several summers in northern Arizona fishing with the family Labrador Retriever, Honeybee. Andrew grew up in rural Ohio with horses, dogs, cats, and raising 4-H lambs. Their current dogs Sophie, Sammie and pup Koa are excited about the idea of greeting Wag N' Wash customers and testing treats for quality control.

I began my grooming career in 2009 because of my how much I love pets and how I treasure spending time with them.
As I progressed in my career I was able to groom in different environments: as a mobile groomer, in a grooming salon, and in the grooming department at a dog boarding and daycare facility. How long does it take and what is the cost? Depending on the size and condition of your pet, as well as the style of cut, on average it takes 1-2 hours (versus 4 hours or longer in the salon). The cost will be slightly higher than salon prices, which are based on specific breed types.
How do appointment times work? We ask for a window of 1-2 hours but we keep you updated by call or text to let you know when we are on our way, usually within 30 minutes of arrival. Traffic and prior appointments may cause a delay. Older dogs and puppies may require extra time and TLC.
Will you come to my work? Yes, we will come to your home, office, RV park, boat marina, and hotel. As long as there is level parking, we will come! Visiting employers that allow their employees to bring their dogs to work sounds like a great idea to groom all dogs in the office in one day.
Can I see were my pet is being groomed? Yes, we will be more than happy to give you a tour of our grooming truck.
Can I stay with my pet while being groomed? We strongly discourage that because most pets are better behaved when you're not around and he usually adds more time to the overall grooming experience. But, under special circumstances, to give you peace of mind we might consider it.
Do I need to be home? We prefer that you be home at least for the first visit, so that we can meet and discuss the haircut you're looking for in detail. Any other reoccurring visits, it is not required for you to be there.
At what age should I start grooming my puppy? With a mobile groomer the grooming can start earlier as there are no other pets around to spread any diseases. Most vets recommend about four months of age, which is when the rabies vaccine is given. You no longer need to wait that long when a mobile grooming salon comes to you.

This is a boutique service experience, which means, we do not rush the work. We use sharp scissors and blades on an animal that may be dancing, singing, jumping, licking our face, or barking and trying to bite. Some of those behaviors are the reason we love dogs (especially dogs that hug!). And some of the behavior causes the service to take extra time for safety.
